Get your stretchy pants on! It’s LA Street Food Fest 

I was overly impressed with this year’s LA Street Food Fest. It was actually my first time and I swear it will not be my last. There were over 100 vendors. Everything was amazingly executed and foodie-goers couldn’t be happier.

The festival took place at the beautiful Pasadena Rose Bowl. Honestly, this was the best venue for this type of event. I love everything about the Rose Bowl. Lots of history and it’s very well maintained.

Tickets to the event were $90 for a VIP and $60 for General Admission. Tickets are all inclusive and includes free parking. I would definitely splurge and get the VIP ticket as it gives access to the event 2 hours early! On top of that you get to enjoy all the food and drinks with much shorter lines. You also get full access to two VIP areas, one being the Rose Bowl field and the other was near the Garden Concourse. In the VIP Garden we got to meet the celebrity chef Philip Frankland Lee from Scratch Bar and The Gadarene Swine; we tasted some delicious uni sake shooters. Thanks to Be Glammed I got to rock the festival with some luscious braids and gorgeous cat eye makeup. Oh, and very tasty cocktails by the folks at Corazon Y Miel. Faith & Flower were present and cooled us off with delicious Straus Greek Yogurt Panna Cotta.

There were so many food vendors to chose from that I had to master my plan of attack. I tried a little bit of EVERYTHING and gave time through out each tasting to relax on the gorgeous field. Ones that stood out were Bachi Burger, Free Range LA, Howlin’ Ray’s, Marisocos el Mazateno, Sweetfin, One Veg World, Poke2Go, Komodo, and Status Kuo.

Lots of alcohol at this event. From tequila tastings, to craft cocktails and craft beers. Cocktails were flowing at The Venice Whaler, The Church Key, and Greenbar Distillery. For the beer lovers there were Angel City Brewery, Singha, Goose Island , Firestone Beer, and Elysian Brewing.

As for desserts, where do I start?! The options were endless. Ice cream from Salt & Straw, McConnell’s, Choctal. Donuts from Donut Friend and Colorado Donuts. Sweets from Sugar & Spun and SO much more!

Big thanks to Boxed Water for keeping us hydrated. Apparently boxed water container is more sustainable than the plastic bottles and because Boxed Water is Better.

I really couldn’t be more happier with how everything went at this festival.I am already looking forward to next year’s event. Hurry up already, Summer 2016!
