hey guys! apparently the dalgona trend has been popping up all over social media (instagram, tiktok, youtube). I finally jumped on the bandwagon and created my own. instead of making dalgona coffee I decided to make a matcha version. I got a number of people who dm’d me asking how I was able to stabilize the matcha as well as requesting for my recipe. so here we go:
what you need:
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
in a saucepan, combine sugar and water on low heat. let the sugar dissolve and you will get simple syrup.
slowly pour syrup into egg whites until smooth.
add matcha and continue mixing until you get a fluffy whipped cream texture.
pour yourself a glass of milk of your choice and top with dollops of this smooth creamy deliciousness.
