Big Bite Events, creators of the sizzling Big Bite Bacon Fest in Long Beach, is pleased to introduce Sugar Rush, the sweetest event you will ever taste, on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. Star chefs, bakers and confectioners will come together to create an unforgettable dessert fest and marketplace to satisfy even the most decadent sweet tooth.

Sugar Rush is a one-of-a-kind sweet shoppe experience packed with entertainment, chef competitions, demonstrations, and tastings of delicious sweet treats and shopping from some of the best pastry chefs and confectioners in Southern California.

The event is sponsored in part by Baker’s Bodega and Wilton. A portion of event proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations Share Our Selves and Festival of Children.

On Saturday, February 20th, 2016 at the California Market Center, LA Weekly presents The Essentials, a food and wine event featuring tastings from the magazine’s 99 Essentials issue on their top restaurant picks in L.A., which will hit shelves the same week.

The Essentials, which is curated by LA Weekly‘s award winning food critic Besha Rodell showcases signature bites from restaurants featured in The 99 Essentials special issue, plus top shelf wineries and cocktail samples from our liquor partners. But since there will be libations, the event is 21+.
