Good things are happening over Labor Day weekend. LA Times The Taste is returning to Paramount Studios for an epic 3-day foodie celebration.

There will be a total of 5 events. Each event will showcase some of LA’s finest chefs and restaurants. All events will offer unlimited tastings of food, specialty cocktails, wine, as well as live demos.

The following is a break down of all events:

OPENING NIGHT Friday, September 2 • 7:30 p.m. – 10:30p.m $150

Hosted by Noelle Carter, Jonathan Gold, Jenn Harris and Amy Scattergood
Featuring a focused collection of tastings, distinctive cocktails and wines, it’s a unique chance to mingle with all The Times’ hosts and many of the weekend’s participating chefs and mixologists.

FIELD TO FORK Saturday, September 3 • 11 a.m. – 2 p.m $100

Hosted by Amy Scattergood and Michael Cimarusti
Bite after bite, experience the amazing possibilities of fresh-focused dishes inspired by the bounty of California as leading LA chefs display their mastery of cooking with locally sourced ingredients.

DINNER WITH A TWIST Saturday, September 3 • 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m $125

Hosted by Ray Garcia, Jonathan Gold, Jenn Harris and Michael Lay
With a great cocktail, a premium wine or your favorite spirit paired with the extraordinary culinary creations of the city’s best chefs, this evening becomes an unforgettable stroll through a studio backlot.

SUNDAY BLOCK PARTY Sunday, September 4 • 11 a.m. – 2 p.m $100

Hosted by Noelle Carter and Mary Sue Milliken
It’s a holiday weekend. LA’s best chefs and mixologists will be there. And they’ll be serving up some incredible indulgences on a historic movie backlot. It’s all the ingredients for the ultimate block party.

FLAVORS OF L.A. Sunday, September 4 • 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m $125

LA Food Fest takes place at Exposition Park this weekend July 9-10 with three days of delicious bites and sips from 100+ food, beer, wine and craft cocktail vendors as well as exclusive hosted ticketed events.

Trestle SF

Fantastic dinner in the City! I made reservations a couple weeks in advance for the 4th of July weekend to Trestle. Trestle does a 3 course prix fixe for $35 with an option to add a pasta supplement for $10. Get the pasta and share it as the portion is pretty good.

There’s 2 options in each category so the 2 of us pretty much tried the entire menu. The bass was excellent. The skin was perfectly crisp and the fish moist. The short rib was tender and flavorful. The cauliflower pappardelle was my fav! Pasta al dente, proscuitto, soft poached egg. Dessert was yummy and so was the wine.

Service and ambiance is lovely. Must try if in the City.

Hey guys! Thank you so much for supporting my blog. I am almost hitting that 1 year mark of LosAngelesFoodieGirl Blog and I am beyond excited. Today I want to share with you something I collaborated with Urban Outfitters.

Urban Outfitters were launching their new souvenir shops in LA, Austin, Honolulu, and NYC the end of April and wanted me to post about some of LA’s must visit foodie places. I had a ton of places in mind but with a super short notice, tight deadlines, and me tackling my day job, I was only able to visit 1 spot. I chose to visit Lamill Coffee in Silverlake, Los Angeles.
